Printing Concepts is under new ownership, as of 2021. Printing Concepts has evolved from a small firm into one of the most respected and inspiring printers in the tri-state area, filling a 30,000 sq. ft. printing facility.
Our Story
Since 1969 PRINTING CONCEPTS has been the premier commercial offset and digital printing partner of choice for many of the TRI-STATE REGION’S leading corporations and organizations. Chuck Herron
Owner
Chuck is an Erie based entrepreneur with a multitude of investments in the Erie Region. He is also an angel investor in many startups, lending his expertise to others trying to build companies that will help transform the greater Northwest PA Region.
Off hours Chuck can be found on his boat on Lake Erie or inside the engine of an old car.
Derek Dunham
Production Manager
Derek has been in the printing business for 25 years. Having grown up in the business as a third generation printer he knowledgeable in all aspects of the printing process.
When not at work he loves to archery hunt and golf. Having two sons, he is also heavily involved in youth athletics including coaching and facilitating.
Jim Colvin
Creative Director
Jim says the challenging opportunities and ever changing landscape of printing allows him to be creative on the job.
As our resident Yoga guru and fresh foods expert, Jim likes to relax with his Golden Retriever, Jake, while listening to Adele on the weekends.
Kelly Craig
Pre-Press
Kelly brings over 30 years of design and marketing experience to Printing Concepts. With expertise in technical illustrating, desktop publishing, branding, advertising, social media, and more, she provides clients with a wide spectrum of creative offerings.
Kelly and husband, Ron, have two grown children, 3 spoiled Bernese Mountain Dogs, 2 shelter cats, and a pink axolotl.
Dea Woodword
Controller
Dea is an Erie native who joined the team August 2021. Dea has earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in General Business and her Master’s degree in Business Administration while working full-time. Dea has over 28 years of experience in Finance and Human Resources.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and singing.
Zach Herron
Chief Operating Officer
Zach loves the fact that the printing business brings a different challenge and experience every day
After hours you can find him enjoying the evening with his Wife and young son, Parker.
Chuck Orton
Estimation
Paint it Blue would be his response to an art question as he listens to the Rolling Stones. As our project estimator, Chuck likes “the challenge of taking a blank sheet of paper and creating a finished product, exceeding customers’ expectations.”
Cynthia Baum-Laffan
Pre-Press
Cynthia graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Fine and Applied Arts and has been designing and printing quality solutions in the graphics field ever since. From concept to completion, she has done almost every project imaginable.
Married with two children, she and her family enjoy camping and hiking, and performing in various venues – occasionally that includes fire.
April Revak
Customer Service
April grew up south of Erie in Springboro, PA and graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (PennWest), where she met her husband. She has worked in Customer Service positions for 12+ years, focusing on Financials, Insurance, and of course, the Customer.
When not working at Printing Concepts or her part-time serving job at The Plymouth Tavern, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, caring for her plants and cats, Mayo and Trout.
Doug Dunham
General Manager, Sales
Doug has been in the printing business for 45 years. He grew up in the business as his father owned a print/sign shop. His son is involved in the business as the Production manager.
Doug loves to flyfish, tie flies during the winter, and archery hunt. He also enjoys cooking, plus he has 6 grandchildren which he spoils and then sends home.
LuAnn Shidemantle
Customer Service
As part of the customer service team, LuAnn enjoys the ongoing diversity and prospects she works with on a daily basis, including the challenges and creativity put forth to successfully support customers from start to finish.
A pasta connoisseur, LuAnn enjoys Italian cuisine after spending time outside gardening and enjoying the summer evenings.
Melissa Rogowski
List Management
Melissa graduated from Mercyhurst College with a Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts and stepped into the printing and mailing industry over 25 years ago.
She enjoys being outside in the garden and spoiling her niece and nephews. On weekends, you can find Melissa fishing for Lake Erie walleye.
